I agree that primer is not necessary for everyone, and the better you take care of yourself, the less your skin will need it. It is however, a good product to use as you improve your health habits and your skin in the process. I recommend staying away from the silicon based primers as they don't let your skin breath well enough. As you say, it is best to use one with healthy and minimal ingredients.
